Volunteer

Six Rivers DRC volunteers are what keeps our agency going.  From administrative tasks to offering mediation, facilitation, and coaching, volunteers are the driving force behind our work.

Every year our supporters give hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in time and money to help Six Rivers DRC continue to work toward its mission and vision.

If you’re interested in joining our team as a volunteer, fill out the form below!  We have a wide variety of options available for you to help us achieve our vision and mission. Six Rivers DRC volunteers are our community. We encourage your input and ideas at all times. Together we can create a change.

To volunteer with Six Rivers DRC as a Community mediator, you must complete the Basic Mediation Training and Practicum requirements. Information about Basic Mediation Training can be found under Professional Mediation Certification. The 40 hour Basic Mediation training is offered at various other locations throughout the state and by other Community Dispute Resolution Programs. If you are interested in continuing your career as a mediator, we will be happy to help you find the resources to make that a reality. Community Mediation programs are a great place to gain valuable experience and to reap the rewards of bringing your community closer together.

As a volunteer with Six Rivers Dispute Resolution Center Services, your time, commitment and efforts are greatly appreciated and highly valued. Our hope is that your experience as part of our team of volunteers is both rewarding and educational. Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of a growing commitment to the peaceful resolution of conflict.

“Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of creative alternatives for responding to conflict – alternatives to passive or aggressive responses, alternatives to violence.”

~Dorothy Thompson
